
Julie Watson is the founder and owner of AfterGlow Health & Fitness. As a Can-Fit-Pro Certified Personal Trainer specializing in Pre and Postnatal Fitness, and a Certified Pre and Postnatal Yoga Instructor, Julie customizes exciting and challenging programs, focused on natural health and overall wellness.
For the past 4 years, Julie has also worked with Lululemon Athletica, designing and teaching Pre and Postnatal fitness classes incorporating functional training, core stability, and strength, through the use of pilates, yoga and cardiovascular circuit training. Julie is a Certified Spinning Instructor with The Indoor Cycling Trainers of Canada, and created the specialized 'Mama and Babe' class at Toronto's Spynga: The Yoga and Cycling Studio, incorporating spin, strength and circuit training.
As well as writing for her youngest baby, the AfterGlow Blog (don't forget to subscribe!), she has written the monthly column OPTIMOM, in Tonic Toronto Magazine, for the Savvy Mom website as a Savvy Expert Blogger, for WonderMoms.ca and for amotherworld.com.
With three small children of her own, and a business to run, Julie is familiar with juggling career, family, and getting back into shape after baby. With challenges such as ulcers, hernia's and postpartum depression, she has had first hand knowledge of the transformation of a women's mind and body during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond, including the joys, struggles and aftermath...rather "AfterGlow" of the peri-natal time period.
Julie's dynamic fitness programs target fast and effective fat burning and her own successful fitness goals of achieving strength, weight loss and well-being after having children, drive her everyday to encourage other women to gain energy, boost mood and incorporate a healthy lifestyle postpartum. She believes it is possible to re-gain, and surpass your fitness goals in the "AfterGlow".
